Zak Abel will play at Opium on Saturday the 3rd of June.
The Moroccan-English singer, songwriter and musician, rose to fame after his guest vocals were featured on Gorgon City’s single ‘Unmissable’ which hit the UK Top 20. Producing and releasing his own music through youtube from the age of 14, Zak signed a record deal in 2014 and met music producer Zakand Joker.
After working together in 2015, we saw Zak release solo project ‘One Hand On The Future’ which featured collaborations with Kaytranada on ‘Say Sumthin’ and Tom Misch on ‘Beautiful Escape’. Music for Paloma Faith and Sigala also add to his extensive songwriting credits.
Released in February 2021, Be Kind was the first solo song the British Artist has shared in almost three years. The Tennis-player-turned-musician did collaborate with the likes of Saweetie, Seeb and Kygo in the meantime, but this track finally feels his.
