Formed in 1990 and celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020, Sweden’s MARDUK are not only one of the most long running and respected black metal acts out there, but also one of the most productive. Even fourteen albums into their storied career, the quartet have never ever delivered a weak album and never wavered from their path of sonic and lyrical warfare. Century Media Records have been the group’s trusted partner since “Serpent Sermon” in 2012, and have also acquired rights for the MARDUK’s massive back catalogue covering anything the band put out since 2000.
Especially since vocalist Mortuus (Funeral Mist, Triumphator) has joined the band, which is led by Morgan ‘Evil’ Håkansson, back in 2004, MARDUK have been widely praised for achieving a new level of intensity and intimidating stage presence catapulting them even into the top ten in Germany with 2018’s “Viktoria”. Respected by legions of fans, MARDUK have always soldiered on, through thick and thin, marched forward, with heads held high, knives sharp, and guns loaded, with no end in sight!
