Paul Morrell
Paul Morrell is a well-respected British DJ, producer & remixer, with a career spanning two decades. He began playing house music in his home city of Coventry in the mid 1990s, however was soon supporting major artists of the era at clubs including Progress (Derby), Steering Wheel & Subway City (Birmingham) and his own Classique Events across the U.K.
Paul has since gone on to have a hugely successful career as a DJ, and now regularly plays at clubs and festivals across Europe. Morrell has appeared at the 30,000 capacity Weekend Festival, Helsinki, Finland, alongside Martin Garrix, Steve Angelo, Tiesto & Axwell, as well as regularly performing on the main stage of Pride Events including Birmingham, London and Manchester with Dua Lipa, Mark Knight, Sigala & Rudimental. He also holds residencies at world famous London superclubs Ministry of Sound, and XXL.
In 2018 Paul appeared for Matinee in Barcelona, as well as being asked to play at the highly prestigious Gatecrasher Classical event at the hugely historically significant ruins of Coventry Cathedral in his home town.
As a remixer, Paul achieved a UK Number 1 single with his remix of Sweet But Psycho for Ava Max, which stayed at the top of the UK charts for four consecutive weeks making it one of the highest selling singles of the year. Paul has also produced official remixes for huge pop artists including Troye Sivan, Kelly Clarkson and British girl band All Saints.
Paul has also produced official remixes for huge club artists and DJs including Livin’ Joy, Stonebridge, Sonique, Judge Jules, Ruff Driverz, Oakenfold and KKlass. His official remix of huge trance classic “As The Rush Comes” by Motorcycle (AKA Gabriel & Dresden) was released in 2017, and achieved huge success in the UK and Europe on Positiva records, where it charted at No.1 in The British and European Club Charts.
Song writing and production are also two of Paul’s key creative skills, and have seen him collaborate with artists such as Boy George, Sonique, Mutya Buena, Kimberly Wyatt, Katherine Ellis, Baby D, and Chris Leonard to mention just a few.
More recently, Paul has been honing a more EDM/ Future House sound, and has released work featuring the vocals of Laura White (Galantis / Sigala), Amanda Wilson (Vocalist for Avicii / Freemasons), and Kelli Leigh (Duke Dumont / Bingo Players). His work has also been widely supported on radio by key players including Scott Mills & Greg James (BBC Radio 1), Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk, Don Diablo, Dave Pearce, Andi Durrant (Capital FM), and Phil Marriott (Gaydio).
