Creamy synthesizers, vibrant bass, passionate beats and a lot of “sofrência” (Brazilian slang for heartbreaking songs): all these ingredients are wrapped up in “Sinto Muito”, the debut album by singer-songwriter Duda Beat.
Like a journal filled with acid outbursts, Duda Beat’s lyrics give voice to a romantic young woman who can not adapt to the fluidity of nowadays relationships. Anyone who thinks the album is apologetic for bitterness is completely deceived. The sorrow-turned-into-art is the way to overcoming and empowering.
The mix of musical genres such as Tecnobrega, Pop, Axé and Dub result in an album with personality, which comes to give the final blow and closes the door in the face of those who deserve it. As the artist says about her previous love affairs:
“My music was a way to heal myself and to overflow it. By the end of the process I found out that my lyrics could speak to all people who are lovesick, who love and are rejected and who do not fit into the modern world of liquid relationships. I want other people to feel inspired by it in some way.”
Duda has performing at various venues in Brazil and worldwide since the beginning of her career. She has been featured in the line-ups of numerous mainstream festivals and undertook a remarkably successful European tour in 2021, wherein her performances were completely sold out across Portugal, Spain, France, England, Ireland, and Germany.
With the release of her second album, “Te Amo Lá Fora”, to great critical acclaim in 2021, Duda is set to embark on another tour of Europe during the summer of 2023.
Since her career launch, Duda has performed in many venues in Brazil and around the world. She was part of the Lollapalooza Brazil 2019 edition line-up and, in 2019, toured for the first time in the US and Europe, including sold out concerts in Portugal, Spain and Germany.
With her second and already acclaimed album, “Te Amo Lá Fora”, released in 2021, Duda is preparing her return to Europe for 2022, with plans to perform in Portugal, France, Germany, Spain, UK and more.
